A Sappy Piece of Crap: A Love Story
| Molly Maguire McGill
| Everyone thought of Beth Erev as just another Sappy Piece of Crap coming through town. Her buckskin and flax clothing dripped with tree sap, and were full of holes. She was homeless and lived in shacks she made on her own.
Know one took the time to realize, she made the fine furniture and clothing showing up at the local consignment shop, entirely by hand and from local materials, nor did they care.
Then she met this farmer who let her stay in an unused back field. How were either to know that his kindness and the kindness from well meaning friends would build to friendship, romance and later marriage?
This story teams with imagery from Lancaster County PA, Amish country, from Philadelphia and as far away as New York. The only thing sappy about this sappy piece of crap is the title.
