| An isolated individual dismayed with where the world's headed sets out to do something about it, rather than wait for something to change - as everyone else seems to be doing. One day he decides to take matters into his own hands - all the time while keeping his eyes off from where his own life is heading. Not until some unexpected turns of events does Doug realise how precious life is. And how easily it can disappear. It's then he goes away to get his life in order, to decide who he wants to be and what he wants to get out of it - and how he can best be of benefit to the world. But only when it's too late does he realise he might not have any control over his or anyone's life.
