| When Sarah Newby presents her first case in the Court of Criminal Appeal, it seems her career is looking up. But at the same time her marriage hits the rocks, and to the despair of her former admirer Detective Inspector Terry Bateson, Sarah embarks on an affair with a handsome property developer, Michael Parker. All goes well at first, but then a body is discovered in one of Michael’s cottages. As Terry Bateson investigates, his suspicions fall upon Michael.
