This tale is based on ancient, Irish, fae magic lore set in the Northwest Muir Woods. The author grew up hiking areas of the Northwest where rings of toadstools (and grass more green than the other grass in the clearing) have been known to arise where hikers could easily step too close, close enough to be pulled in. The magic and the merriment inside these faerie rings can only be told by a few. This tale is a personal account, found in the hollow of a six-shaped tree.
